Between exotica, folk, 1960's-type girl pop with a unique voice and identity. And beautiful songs. Arrangements full of surprising, beguiling touches. A promising, imaginative and exquisite debut. Magical even.

At times perilously close to pastiche it may be, the Lemon Twigs prove again, for the second year in a row, that they're second to none when it comes to reviving 1960's-style pop (Beatles, Beach Boys, Byrds, Zombies, et al,...) with panache and inspiration. Nothing stale in this exhilarating, uplifting collection of superb songs. And their prowess at vocal harmonies is very impressive.

Their third album, and second of original material. Clearly, their brilliant debut was no fluke, as this may well be even better, and more ambitious.

A collaboration that feels organic and natural. A wonderful surprise of an album (of covers by pre-Fleetwood Mac Buckingham & Nicks), between folk music, jazz and pop; with eastern colors. A touch of tropicalia too. The songs are enchanting (obviously) and the production warm and inviting.

Jane Weaver has become very reliable in the last 10 years to regularly come up with excellent electro-pop albums, always with a very singular atmosphere.
