Wow, this scratches the itch for me. Like dreampop, folk, and ambient mixed. I like her voice and her harmonic textures.

Hmm, this one isn't getting rated very high on the site, but I *like* it. The music is sort of a combination of Ultravox, early Talk Talk, and the Killers. In other words, early '80s synth-pop yum with a proggy edge. Cinematic musical feel, and the songs have some decent hooks and passionate singing.

This is the first album I've ever heard from this artist/project. I like his voice and the energetic, hooky music. Don't care about the rock opera thing - it's just good music.

A surprisingly lush, classicist approach to urban pop. So much reverb it's almost dream pop, though definitely not indie. Pretty startling after the disco-heavy approach of her last one.

I love how "they're back!" means, "they're spending too much time vocalizing with unintentionally funny and unnecessary violence again!" Ah, metal fans. But this is good, bracing stuff, and I found that when it was over, I was therefore sad.

Hmm. Hadn't listened past his first two albums before. Strikes me as a mix of Prince, Peter Gabriel, and Dylan, and that's rather a good thing.
