Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.4/100, a mean average of 89.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.9.

Notas orientalizantes para una balada lisérgica y cautivadora. Una de las piezas más logradas de la colección.

One of my favorite songs on any Beatles record and what a brilliant track 2!!

In merely a few minutes, the band begins with a whisper and builds to an epic and riotous conclusion. The guitar tones are glassy and so delicately arranged and performed. The drums provide a uniquely formidable feel to drive the track’s different emotions.

This is easily one of my favorite John Lennon works.

I think this is probably the most underrated Beatles song. This is the most solid and well put together tracks on the white album. I can see through this song that this is the direction the white album was going in before it turned to chaos.

The Beatles weren't the only famous people who went to India to meditate with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Others who were there around the same time were musicians Donovan and Mike Love and actress Mia Farrow and her younger sisters, Prudence. This girl, only twenty years old at the time, was assigned two "buddies" on the meditation sessions, John and George. Over the course of time, Prudence became obsessed with meditating and refused to leave her bungalow. As her buddies, John and George decided to do what they could to get Prudence out of her seclusion, and John wrote one of his most beautiful songs ever as a result.

A beautiful song. Dear Prudence was written during the Beatles stay in India during the early part of 1968. Apparently it's written about Mia Farrow's sister Prudence who was not having the best of times during the stay at Rishikesh. John Lennon was now writing some of his songs in a new finger picking style that he had learnt from Donovan, and Dear Prudence is one of his most beautiful creations using this newly found skill, especially on the lovely intro. Dear Prudence is another excellent contribution to the White album from Lennon.

It's hard to say favorite song but this is on a list in a drawer somewhere. I just love absolutely everything about it. The chord progression is nice, especially during the verse to chorus transitions and back. It works very well with John's picking style. Paul out does himself on the bass, his runs are spectacular throughout. Just a wicked nasty groove over John's soft ballad.

The structure of this song is simply gorgeous, each section building upon itself until it climaxes. Almost like the tide rolling in, the song crashes and recedes with each verse and chorus. The last verse fills your ears with layered vocals, hand claps, George on guitar and quite a few impressive drum fills by Paul. Finally the song erupts in perfect harmony before breaking down to a single acoustic guitar, ending the way it began, with a fade.
