Lush, wall-of-sound 2010-era synths, stellar lyrics and equally stellar rhythm. It's catchy, even classy I dare say. One of her best songs by far.

"Alejandro" is so delightfully over-the-top and emotive. The excesses are probably what result in its popularity, correlating with how emotionally melodramatic this generation is.
The important thing, though, is... that the song is a SAMBA!
