Brilliant sample and songwriting by Kanye, to incorporate the '21st Century Schizoid Man' sample fully knowing his public reputation at the time, and then the other little, minor details that make this track, like subtedly changing 'power' to 'powder' in the third chorus, to the way the synths and cellos double to play that bridge melody, to the maniacal, pitched-down demonic laughter at the end, to the way 'so exciting' transforms into 'suicide' leading to that 'beautiful death' outro. Every little detail. You could tell West was looking to make a fully fleshed piece of art, a full Greek tragedian story with this song and it still delivers every time. One of his finest works as an artist.

The combination of sounds and samples in the arrangement is just brilliant. The attention to detail that went into everything in the mix is really remarkable and it's also very groovy and catchy. Was played in stadiums and live events for a decade and counting. One of the more influential songs in the genre to come out last decade on American pop culture.

This song gets me so pumped. That part in the middle with just the synth is so nice. Also great idea to sample 21st Schizoid Man.
