Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 84.3/100, a mean average of 83.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.3.

This song should be called "Ascending" because listening to this makes me feel like I just died and my soul is rising up to heaven. The guitar solos sound like a conversation between angels. This song makes me feel like I'm flying. Need I say it again: Stunning
MASTERPIECE ....
Of all the lyricists out there, I think I've learned the most vocabulary from Maynard James Keenan.
Nescient: Lacking knowledge, ignorant
Reveille: A signal to arise (e.g. a drum/bugle to awaken military personnel)
Wanton: Malicious, deliberate and without motive/provocation, inhumane
One of the best buildups ... awesome song, the jam at the end is trippy and powerful, one of my favourite Tool moments
I personally think this is the best and most complete song on the album. Time will tell, maybe one day I will say it is their best track ever. All of the band give their absolute best and the lyrics are awesome. I find it sad that the ones who should read the most from the lyrics will probably never hear the song, let alone understand the meaning. Rouse all from our apathy - lest we cease to be...
