Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. One would think a 5 minute lecture about global warming wouldn't be fun to listen to, but there's something very sonically pleasing about this, and it's a great intro to the following song.
