Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.2/100, a mean average of 91.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.3.

I know this isn't a popular take (or at least, you wouldn't think so given the most vocal critics of this song), but I far, far prefer this electric version to the acoustic version on Wednesday Morning, 3 AM
This 'rock' versión was the #1 hit that become S&G famous.
I think people are getting this version confused with the original, more popular 1964 version from their debut 'Wednesday Morning, 3 AM', probably because it is the titular song of this album.
Although this arrangement does not make it a bad song, I don't believe it compares to the original.
In this version, the background instrumentation, especially the 'twangy' guitar and drums were added without the knowledge of Simon & Garfunkel and really does not fit the lyrics and intention of the song.

One of my favourite songs ever
Another classic beautiful song.
Fucking legendary.

Powerful. Great harmonies & lyrics. It's lasted so long for good reason...it's a great song.
