What makes this song work is Ringo's drumming.
Billy Preston playing is really good too.
As others have stated it should have opened the album instead of closing it. It's too light to close it. A regression to pre1965 records endings.
The last song? No way! It's frickin great and all but certainly not the closing song for the last Beatles' album. I think The Long and Winding Road deserves that.
Great song, but unfortunately it's not the full single version that is ultimately superior. In truth, get back, should have been the first track on the album, not the last. Still, at least it ends an average album on a relative high.
