Figured I'd dig this thread out before the start of the World Series. I'm thoroughly shocked and excited that the Sox have somehow managed to get back there. I honestly thought they'd be hovering around .500 this year and would miss the playoffs.
I also seriously respect the Cardinals, they always seem to be contending. This series reminds me a bit of Bruins/Blackhawks from this past June in the sense that if my team has to lose, I'm glad it's to an organization I respect so much.
I can't imagine this Word Series will be nearly as one sided as '04 was, but even still I'm predicting another sox title, in 6. Would love to see them win it at Fenway this time around.
Being a Boston sports fan is unbeatable, I can't remember the last time as much as a year went by without one of our teams making a deep run in the playoffs.

I think I've made my love for the Cardinals very clear in this thread, so i'm obviously ecstatic that we're in the World Series again.

my Mets have been out of it since April. So I really wanted to see The Pirates make it, but I'm pretty happy with the Cardinals. My old high school teammate Jason Motte is a Cardinal. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Oh you knew Motte? That's interesting, haha. I was skeptical when we first got him, I remember him being pretty shaky early on, but he's become a decent relief pitcher.

Yeah. Motte and I graduated together. Had a lot of mutual friends, but he and I were little more than acquaintances. he was a catcher in the minors, but I guess converted to a pitcher before coming up to the majors on the Cards. it's been nice to see him do pretty well.
ironically, my brother played highschool ball with another former Cardinals pitcher, Matt Morris. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

My Rockies spent all of April in first place, then slowly sucked their way to last place the rest of the way. Still a 10 game improvement over 2012.
Hate the Red Sox for 2007. Gotta go with the Cardinals in this one.
Give us a good Series!!!!! _________________ May we all get to heaven
