Nah, Michael Jordan and the Monstars will come down and sweep the entire series in one game.

Any thoughts on Lebron's "I'm the greatest player in the world" comment?

Part of me thinks it's great to hear. He is playing like the world's greatest. Nice to hear some confident honesty.

Part of me thinks he's making it about him. Basketball is a team game. Even though you're shorthanded, acknowledge your teammates more than yourself.

There's an anecdote surrounding Michael Jordan's career that Jordan told at a Hall of Fame induction a few years back.
Quote:
I can remember a game, we were down with about 5 to 10 points, I go off about 25 points, we come back and win the game, we're walking off the floor. Tex (Winter) looks at me and says "There's no "I" in team!" I looked at Tex and say, "There's not, but there's an 'I' in win!"

I feel like that's comparable to the situation LeBron is in now. I think that makes a truly great athlete in a way. Remaining humble and sharing in teamplay but knowing when to take full selfish control.

Well, big picture, I think this Warriors' triumph is good for basketball. They were a great TEAM through and through. Steph is one of my top 3 fave players, and he really is a marvel.

So, I'm a Lebron fan boy obviously, but the next best thing is these Warriors taking it home. Beautiful team beautiful season. Congrats, Wartiors fans and Oak/SF homers.

----

Now if Lebron can keep this unit around him and they grow from this experience and are a bit more healthy next year they will be back. And these warriors are STACKED and very young and they have a solid structure. They will also be back. Maybe we can get a rematch or 2 in the coming years? That'd be epic.

Before the season I felt really confident in this team. Looking at the roster from top to bottom it seemed stacked. I bought into Klay improving enough to warrant not trading for love, I thought Kerr was going to turn the Warriors offense into something special. In my predictions at the beginning of the season I was a bit tempered because it seemed like everyone thought they would be a good team, 4 or 5 seed, and I thought maybe I was just being a homer. Still, I never thought they were going to win the championship this year, and honestly I still am having trouble believing it. Watching the Warriors this season has been the best time I've ever had watching basketball, and even if they keep winning titles in the future I don't see any season matching the magic of this one. This was a special team. Still gonna take some time to digest it, but damn this was awesome.

So happy that Iggy won Finals MVP too. And that Livingston has a championship now. Heartwarming stuff.

Hypothetical question:

If Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love had been healthy, do you think the Warriors would've still won?

Great season for the Cleveland Cavaliers! That was a well-fought Finals series! Props to Golden State for pulling through! They were an all around solid team that deserves their victory! Applause

But we will be back next season... Twisted Evil
