We have a couple dueling lead roles with the films Persona and Blue is the warmest Colour. Which do you suppose will go further? I'm team Bibi/Adèle. Liv and Lea are amazing as well. _________________ -Ryan

Adele for me for BITWC. The Persona performances are so perfect, yet equally in need of that other perfect performance to play off of. I have never been able to pick. That's why I chose both at the same time.
Hayden's most recent post has me wondering whether I should vote for the performance I have seen or abstain from voting at all when it comes to Zhao Tao and Maggie Cheung.

I had to read this a few times, and I'm slightly confused on what you mean by it You're choosing between not voting for performances you haven't seen, or not voting for films with these particular actresses?
I think what you meant to say is that you haven't seen Mountains May Depart or Clean, so you can't vote for the performances. I highly recommend both of them... two stellar films. Regardless of whether or not you see them before this tournament.
I think if what you meant to say was that you'll abstain from polls where you haven't seen both performances, I'd agree. There's a handful of films I should watch before this as well... particularly Queen Christina and The Rapture.
ok actually I don't really have time atm to dig through and see which actors have already been represented so I'd kindly request that my Sissy Spacek nom is removed (seeing as Keith picked a better one) and whoever noms people in my place please pick women who are not already in the lineup somewhere else thanks
If we get rid of a Spacek performance we might as well get rid of a Gena Rowlands too. They're the only two that have two films. I was gonna add a duplicate in my final four as well and if you're not posting one I got dibs. Might as well keep em.
So here's the final four:
Greta Garbo - Camille
Claudette Colbert - It Happened One Night
Barbara Stanwyck - Double Indemnity
Jane Fonda - Klute
But yeah I suppose if it's a big enough deal we can let the Spacek, Rowlands and Garbo performances duke it out and then hold a quick poll for the three new performances.
And yes Hayden I meant I never have seen them but I hate voting against stuff I don't know. That's why I didn't post a 2015 list. If I had I would have likely knocked Me and Earl and the Dying Girl out of the top ten because I hadn't seen it yet and it was certainly a top 10 film for me.
