Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying is rather jolly

How? Neutral That song is about wanting to either die because your life is so boring apposed to everyone else's, and how he's fed up with it...

And 'Judy And The Dream Of Horses' literally opens with 'Judy wrote the saddest song' Laughing But I can see how it could be uplifting in a way.. Maybe.

I would even argue Mayfly.

Quote:

I perhaps should clarify. I know this record is sad..... but it makes me really happy. Like a "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened vibe."

...And that even sounds sad Laughing

The other suggestions have been pretty good so far though, so I'll just leave.

I didn't mean lyrically. I meant musically, they have a jolly feel to them. Lyrically, yeah they're depressing.

Weezer The Blue Album by Weezer

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian

I was going to put these albums in my post, but those two albums makes me feel all kinds of emotions.

I also think this album is kind of happy too:

Yerself Is Steam by Mercury Rev

Noisy, yes, but Chasing A Bee and Car Wash Hair are some of the happiest songs I've ever come across.

Meh. That one's passable. It's happy songs about sadness.

I know I mentioned a lot of albums, but this is my final contribution to this thread. Promise. No more space wasted by me.
