I can't play the Transatlantic video because of a rights issue.

it looks like this one is unrestricted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AshJ4gWrRJY

at first I was like "oh no this must be a full album" but actually it's 26 minutes long (!). I'll not vote out of fairness yet until I can check it out but there's basically no way I don't go with the books because I love them

Isn't there a rule about songs vs. compositions/suites that's supposed to prevent something 27 minutes long from qualifying?

Thinking about voting for The Books to make a grand statement about law and anarchy. Also it's a really good song.

I did ask the question at the time I submitted it because the rule seemed ambiguous relative to this selection since while there are multiple movements if you will, they are all overlappjng and linked rather than distinct with breaks. I expected it to get DQd from the get-go but thought I'd inquire anyway. That said, if selected, I didn't expect it to survive the first round anyway based on folks' preferences even aside from rules interpretation. Feel free to vote against for either reason.

Would've picked a different Books song, but it'll still get my vote here.

I don't mind long songs but I can't promise I will listen to the entire thing before voting!!! Nice first section on the Transatlantic track but I didn't really like it when the vocals came in and I lost interest at that point. Might like it some more if I tried again but I'm not such a prog guy so I'm not sure.

The Books track reminded me of the Notwist and I definitely liked it so it got my vote.

If its a single track it's allowed, perhaps next time will impose a time limit

I've just been listening to The Lemon Of Pink, and while Owl is decent, it's not as good as songs on their sophomore. Duel With The Devil is certainly a much more difficult listen, but I liked the song more.
