It's quite good. Considerably better IMO than their last one and Alligator. Still it's close but Boxer > High Violet.

Still "Sorrow" and "Bloodbuzz Ohio" are both straight masterful.

It's good, but sometimes I find this album unbelievably bland.

Exceptional record. I certainly prefer Boxer, but I'm not sure which one is second between this and Alligator. Great band.

Catchy... after Alligator I kinda lost interest, though.

One of my favourite albums, my second favourite National album after TWFM, but it's often hard to choose.

Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks is such a powerful ending to the album, the start of the second verse gives me shivers every time I hear it. It might well be my favourite song on the album, but with Bloodbuzz, Lemonworld and England, I could never say.

Brilliantly gloomy and unforgiving.

I know I listened to it, I haven't the smallest recollection of this though.

EDIT: just realized I rated it 60. Must have thought it was slightly above average I reckon.
