After the first two songs it is the best rock and roll I have ever heard. Can anyone explain to me the significance of the opening track?
To release this album AND Are You Experienced in the same year is mind boggling.

sethmadsen 02/09/2013 13:14I can see why they didn't last much longer after this one... don't get me wrong, it is good, but you can feel less energy on this one that Are You Experienced.
Hendrix's undeniable talent shines through every track on this wonderful album. There's never been anything quite like it since.
The weakest of the Experience's three albums I think, but contains some of Hendrix's best song writing. Spanish Castle Magic is my favorite from the album.
Solid record, fav song; 'Castles made of sand
junodog4Jimi goes funky and psychedelic. Sometimes it doesn't really work, but when it does, hoo-boy...
