Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This album is so good and so underated... It's my favorite Pogues album, altough all their albums are great. This album always sounded to me like Pirate music, but really, really good Pirate music.

Very good irish folk rock album. Best 10 songs average is 88,8/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. It's a special genre of music, I like it anyway. And this album is really strong. Several songs have asian themes, good sound. Best song is "Rain street" 95/100, the only song I've already known. Followed by "Hell's ditch", "Lorca's novena" and "House of the gods" all 90/100. Most other songs in the region of 80-85/100. Nice to have discovered this.

The first seven tracks are fine stuff, especially the standout Ghost of a Smile. The rest is kind of forgettable but still, it's all the best bunchafuckindrunkIrishlouts you ever heard.
