Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.3/100, a mean average of 71.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.2.

My all time favourite album!

The album is known for its innovative blend of folk, punk, and rock elements. The Levellers created a unique and distinctive sound that resonated with a wide range of listeners.
The album's themes of social justice, environmentalism, and political activism remain relevant and thought-provoking, making the music resonate with people across generations.
The Levellers are known for their dynamic and passionate live performances, which enhance the overall experience of the album and contribute to its legendary status.
I see this album as a consistent and cohesive work, where each track complements the others, creating an amazing listening experience.

You hear the word underrated ALOT on this site

But seriously how has this album been so overlooked

It does not have a near bad song on it

It is magnificent from start to finish

Just listen to it

One of my favourite albums. The Levellers were one of the bands me and my old student mates used to listen to constantly. Very diverse in their music, not just a Vocal 3 Guitars and Drums band. Great live.

A fantastic gem in the dust! One Way and Game will satisfy you if you want great pop songs. However this album is much more than that. The strings, guitars, folk instruments and whatever else they play. They all meld into one fantastic sound. The singer is genuiune and the music has a real soul. You may be surprised by this one. Well worth a listen!
