I'd say the strongest is pretty easily The Luca Brasi Story (the first volume), but my love for that may just be a case of "the thrill of the new", what with it being the first Gates release I heard and fell in love with. Of course, I also feel it's the release on which Gates' open, emotional, authentic lyrical style and his undeniable pop nous are most satisfyingly melded. That said, Stranger Than Fiction features Gates' best song (the incredible '4.30am'), and By Any Means is dope from beginning to end too.
