So Old Man Gloom's "The Ape Of God" is fantastic and if you care at all about metal in 2014, get this in your life ASAP.

ok, i'm going to try to hear 2 more 2014 albums before wrapping up my 2014 list (although i'm sure i'll revisit/edit it later). These are the 2:

Bloodstone & Diamonds - Machine Head (2014)
Black Messiah - D'Angelo (2014)

December's been a pretty strong month actually, what with this, the new Theo Parrish, the new Kevin Gates, the new Mr. Mitch, the new Juju & Jordash, the Premier and Royce da 5'9" collaboration, the Silk Rhodes album, and that phenomenal Keysound compilation. Still yet to hear the new releases from E-40, The Jacka, Nicki Minaj, or Afrikan Sciences, all of which I have relatively high hopes for too. Really puts the premature year-end lists to shame.

Brandon its funny you responded cuz you were one of the people I thought would most like this it's just super cute folk and like Espeon is the cutest song and they're so cute but there's still a depth to them and between all of that and the adorable and wonderful lead singer it seemed up your alley
