Aight, so— it's a performance piece, of post-industrial opera. And it's very good. Super cold, winter-y— harsh, airy— almost like a bleak heavenscape. It's a total shake up from her previous work. Almost like Laurie Anderson and Trent Reznor did a modern-art collab.
And the new Jake Xerxes Fussell is also excellent. That guy really has something going for him. Really enjoyed the production this time around too. Think he might have picked up some better mics since his last. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Agreed! Loving his new record even more than the last. The production is gorgeous - he has such a beautiful way of bringing traditional folk ballads back to life.
Ditto this, it's ~30 minutes and only 2 tracks (some outlets are calling it an EP rather than an album). It's wonderful minimal piano music _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
