Sunburn and Showbiz are great stand-outs, but the rest ranges from good to pretty awful. Not bad overall, but Muse would go on to better things.

I think they did better things, too. But I really love this! I'm so glad it's album of the day!
And this album has probably the best bass line among Muse albums.

My 2nd favourite Muse album (after "Origin of Symmetry").
Best tracks: Sunburn, Unintended, Showbiz, Muscle Museum. _________________ "De gustibus non disputandum est"

also my second fav Muse after Origin of Symmetry. There are some great basslines throughout, I can't imagine Sunburn without that bass running through it. I'd also say that Unintended is the best ballad Muse ever did.

I agree with Dingerbell. Those two tracks are great, probably in my top ten from Muse.
This album isn't as solid as the other muse albums as it contains quite a few weak tracks, however it is a good debut album, where in some parts you can find the seeds of what Muse would delight us in the next few albums, and it sounds fresh.
This is an album reccommended for Muse fans, to see from where they come. I wouldn't reccommend it as the first album from Muse to listen.

Pretty solid first effort by a band that would later release great things like Origin of Symmetry and Absolution. It kind of hinted at what was to come in later years.
I especially like "Muscle Museum", "Sunburn", and also "Cave" _________________
