Great timing for this album to be aotd. for me, anyways. As this album is so. freaking. incredible. that it casts this massive shadow over my 1982 listening project. I just think this album is almost like a God, casting sharp bright light off of it, blinding us mere mortals if we dare look directly upon It.

Ew no Madonna is absolute bottom of the barrel generic mainstream pop.

This album is an amazing mix of Funk, Pop, Rock, and Disco.

This IS a mighty fine album. Several of the songs suffered from overkill by being played too much on the radio or from having their videos overplayed on MTV, BUT this album is quite an achievement. It made Michael a bona-fide superstar. I don't think he ever quite equaled this peak again.

This album beats any album by almost any artist. Well deserved as one of the biggest albums in history. Anyways, it is my personal least favorite Michael album, as I love the others just more. But it's a classic nonetheless, and no one has any argued good enough to call it overrated.
