- Post subject: Collection Value on Discogs
|
I've started to add my collection to Discogs recently and have been having some fun with it. Cool to see which releases are worth a good chunk of change, some that I never would have thought would be rare are, and vice versa.
I still have many releases to add to my collection but it's really interesting to be able to map out my collection by value. As of right now my collection value is like so: Min: $4,889.97 Med: $7,439.78 Max: $12,335.33 (CAD).
Anyone else do this..? What is your collection worth?

I didn't know this was a thing. I've been on discogs, but not for that. I may delve into this.
Part of me is fine with me getting rid of my physical CD collection (about 200 cds) nearly 10 years ago, and part of me regrets it. While I have a minimal vinyl collection (70 to 100 albums), I have little motivation to fork out more for "all the things" because 80% of my music intake is digital. I really only purchase on vinyl the stuff that means the most to me or is incredibly cheap ($5 or so).
Also, I second Bobby, that's impressive.

Vinyl only (haven't bothered listing CDs, and not counting the 50-odd items I've currently got for sale):
Min: £13,545.69 Med: £23,475.43 Max: £39,879.81
My most valuable/collectible pieces are talked about in my 'Digger's Delights' chart if you fancy having a look (link in signature below). _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

Love Discogs.
I haven't put any of my CDs on there, but for my vinyl collection:
Min: $988.80 Max: $7,045.92
Seems like my most valuable record (by minimum price, not max) is a copy of The Rollings Stones' "Flowers" _________________ Progressive Rock
