Easily one of the best metal albums of the 90s. Pretty much Death's entire discography is essential!

After saying I clearly prefer this one to Individual Thought Patterns and Human, I've been listening to a lot of Steve Di Giorgio years and those two kick ass as much as Symbolic tbh. Now it looks like I'm just spewing nonsense on BEA (for a change). But Symbolic's been in my car's stereo for at least 2 years now and even if I don't listen to it every drive, it gets a fair amount of plays. Staple of the genre, even if death metal is not your thing this is like listening to Radiohead, you have to do it because RYM says so!

I should give this another listen. Last time I heard this it was a few years ago (and probably only listened because RYM said so lol LedZep). Within the past year or so I've been getting more into metal so I might be able to appreciate this a little more.

AOTD!! YES!!
From the album’s first beat on my first spin, Symbolic sunk its teeth in me. One of my very favorites, of the genre or otherwise.
This is a perfect album. No second thoughts.
