Heard both of these as well! Hard decision, ones a childhood favorite, and one I've only heard for the past couple months. I think I gotta go with Faust.

I haven't heard Faust yet. Will do. I wasn't impressed with Violent Femmes, but I don't have many hopes for this other debut.
EDIT: OK, Faust started off pretty bad. The second track was OK. I thought the third track was the highlight of the album despite it's very lengthy time. Miss Fortune just seemed much more creative than the first two. I'm going to give Violent Femmes another listen before I vote. Right now, Violent Femmes is at 229 on my overall chart, but I think it was better than that.

Two albums I love very much that are both in the top half of my chart, hard choice. I've gotta go Faust this time, but both are amazing.

Final vote goes to Faust. Yes, it's lower on my chart than Violent Femmes by a few spots, but the second listen of VF for me hardly changed my opinion of VF. I think a second listen to Faust will make me appreciate the album more, since I only didn't like the first track but the second track helped me better understand the genre of the album. So, Faust.

I don't like Violent Femmes at all except for a few songs. I haven't heard the Faust album yet but it won't take much to beat VF.
