Yeah was surprised, actually a very tough decision. I Want to See the Bright Lights is easily my favorite thing across both teams, and I very much enjoy Radio City and even more so Phaedra. I never really bought into the Sparks train but Kimono is admittely a very fun album. Genesis is the only meh point here. Singles range from excellent to very not-excellent to downright silly. Overall very strong outing this time for 1974, though.
With 1994 it has a longtime favorite with Ready to Die, a deserving classic of any stripe, and a recent favorite with Musik. Roman Candle is very good but feels a bit like an Elliot Smith sketch book than one of his more fully-formed later masterpieces, and I like Dummy quite a bit but not as much as I used to. And The Downward Spiral has a couple excellent songs but otherwise just echoes much more interesting music from other composers. The hip-hop singles greatly overshadow the rest of the singles team, but those other songs are still pretty fine regardless.
So overall leaning 94 but might ponder (and re-listen) a bit, 94 is much stronger top-to-bottom but 74 has greater peaks, though, and overall just a great job, both captains. Quite a round this is shaping up to be.

Well it looks like you guys did a little better this time. Still not getting the 'W', but we're not getting trounced like last week.
"I Wanna See The Bright Lights Tonight", please step forward. It is my honor to give you the Most Reluctantly Voted Against Award.
Phaedra, Radio City, got some good comments, well done.
Kimono, well, you either get glam or you don't.
As for the singles, well, 1974 had a lot of fun songs, and I've been trying to play to my strengths here. 'The Entertainer' may have been a misstep next to TSOP.
'Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.' I'm sorry. For the official BEA favorite, you're kind of bringing the team down. Shape up or I'm gonna trade you for 'Pick a Dub' by Keith Hudson.

Now if you'd gone and done that I would have had no worries whatsoever voting '74. As it is, there's wheat and chaff on both teams. Love Radio City, R<, Dummy and Roman Candle, but not big on any of the other LPs (s'pose Kimono's OK).
So it's down to the singles... and in all fairness I couldn't give a toss for any of 'em. That is, apart from Original Nuttah, which is head-and-shoulders above anything else on both teams. And given that my dog runs and hides every time she hears The Entertainer, '94 gets the nod. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing
