I'm probably the biggest Jens Lekman fan on this site Laughing

I love his music, honestly. It's just really witty, fairly simple and diverse pop songs. His lyrics are the highlight of all his albums, they're really just enjoyable to listen to. This album is a bit more humourous that his recent release, but still just as heartbreaking at times.

Can't recommend this album enough though.

^ a lot this.

Also, I will say sometimes I really like this album. Especially "Opposite Of Hallelujah" and "A Postcard To Nina" and "My Arms Around You". But other times its just so damn fluffy sweet cotton candy production-wise that I just can't get into it. Good summer album I suppose.

The lyrics are quite brilliant at times.

And the opener, personally, just I hate quite a bit.

This is a wonderful album, and is a masterpiece of pop song-writing; the lyrics are honestly hilarious, and it's just a lovely album to listen to. I love this album.

Sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. I love how vintage the strings sound, and his lyrics are absurd but strangely comforting.

Why guilty? And I'm firmly in the camp with Hayden that he's fantastic. I mean, his collected EPs are in my Top 10 currently (more realistically Top 20 as my chart fills out but still). This album in particular I think is inferior in quality, but it's no slack. I think people who dislike it though would still do well to try out that collection.

It's quite good. It's pretty up-and-down in terms of quality, but the ups are stunning.
