Oh you've gotta be kidding me. Sublime-underrated??? Yeah they're OK (not great) but they are way overrated by you (and most other people). Maybe bananabrother can talk some sense into you.

Seriously now, I think that that, compared to all the praise Nevermind gets, In Utero is way underrated.

I agree - I prefer the collection of songs on In Utero. I believe its underrated because of its 'Raw Power' complex, in which the production was purposely unbalanced (if you will) to create a fitting sound that would more appropriately complement the mood of the album.

just thought of a few more:

a lot of college rock, this genre turned post punk into alternative. without it none of the great alt and indie bands of the 90's and 00's would have existed.

some of the best from the genre include:
zen arcade
mumur
new day rising
crazy rythms
tim
reckoning
flip your wig
violent femmes
smiths
queen is dead
stone roses
meat puppets 2
surfer rosa
doolittle

In the topic of the Jam, their first album, In The City is their most underrated album- why doesn't anyone recognize that one? Also, pretty much anything by Roky Erickson, Scott Walker, and Creedence Clearwater Revival... terribly underrated.
