Belle and Sebastian -nice day for a sulk (bland and too twee, even for them)
The Beta Band- The Beta Band Rap (just a silly way to kick off your debut album)
Blur- Bank Holiday (showing off that they can do hardcore punk- urgh)
The Beach Boys- Student Demonstration Time (there were many contenders but only one possible winner)
*I gave all of Pablo Honey a free pass. |
Bank Holiday is super fun to me! Oï Oï Oï ! Always a bit ironic with Damon, ok. But good (not to mention when played live). And the next song on the tracklist (Badhead) comes so nicely. |
Hehe. Yeah Badhead just about excuses Bank Holiiday because they go together. But it still gives me a headache lol

Has to be D'yer Mak'er by Led Zeppelin. Grates so much and just doesn't fit the album.

King for a Day by Green Day. Not a fan of the studio recording, but when it's done live, it isn't bad. I just don;t like talking about it, lol. Why, Green Day?

Heard this one on the radio for the first time in a couple years the other night. Has not aged well. It's really not even that terrible of a song, just wish it wasn't under the label of Yes. No Steve Howe and you can feel it. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

I really hate D'yer Maker too. And unfortunately it's on my favorite Led Zeppelin album. |

I feel bad when a good band releases a terrible song which doesn't represent their music, does great at sales and becomes their signature track for people who only listen to the radio. Owner of a Lonely Heart is the perfect example.
edit: I have to admit that 5 minutes after typing this message "owner of a lonely heart tirururum owner of a lonely heaaaart" is still resonating in me so it does have something. It may not be as terrible after all.

That's what I think too. It's not a horrible song, it's just a bad Yes song. It's catchy and tolerable but just not Yes and unfortunately it's their biggest song. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Some strange choices. A Passage to Bangkok, All My Love and Sweet Leaf? Even Too Old.. is a good tune in my book _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
