Outside of Blowout Comb, Tortoise's debut, and 'Oh My God', there isn't a lot I love on that 1994 team. Nothing I particularly dislike either, mind, but certainly not enough to beat Blue Lines, Laughing Stock, Foxbase Alpha, Reggae Owes Me Money, 'Summer Babe', 'Saturdays', and 'Shiny Happy People'. Both good teams, but a fairly easy choice for me. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

i am in peach heaven.
saw massive attack / talk talk and thought: oh! this'll be easy choice. 1991.
so i scroll down, and low and behold, 94's pullin' digable planets, tortoise, jeff buckley and a cocteau single. now, you gotta understand that buckley was my elvis when i was first learning guitar / songwriting / singing / poeticizing / etc. (ages 18-21?). and cocteau twins came along a while after that period, but elizabeth frazer is more or less my elvis nowadays. so as much as i like the 1991 team (and i really would vote that team in 9 out of 10 other battles), this one is going to 1994. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Yeah to be honest kind of hit and miss for both teams. 91 has my favorite album across the board, but also has fucking moby. Eh, not that petty, but still kind of a lot of stuff that's fine but only fitfully brilliant. 94 has Hex (BIG plus), the rest.. . just kind of "good", maybe just not a big personal fan of. Could really go either way here.

In all fairness though Go was a huge anthem back in '91, in fact well before he disappeared up his own arse and got lampooned by Eminem et al. If you went into a club back then and didn't dance your tits off when it came on you obviously weren't on the right pills, brother. History hasn't been kind to Moby, but this stands out head and shoulders above pretty much anything else he did for me. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

hehe with Moby the antipathy is all personal, judging solely by his music Im just kind of indifferent all around. Guess just not my thing.

Both teams are really great. Going to go with the underdog. Loving the Chicago feel to that 94 team. Plus, Blowout Comb is one of my favorite hip hop albums of all time. The final push for 94 is that Underworld album which deserves more praise. I loved it back in the day.
