I didn't end up voting for it, but it was on my list. Its a favourite at my house, it was nice to see it show up here.

well, i sucked last round. I had just seen Hatt/Glass in a little basement show the night before and thus it was the first thing to come to mind. I do enjoy that song and their whole album from last year. But I probably wouldn't have nominated it any other moment than thatmoment when i hurriedly had to choose something before my boss noticed. Oh well.
I'm glad you liked Future Blues, DBZ! It's a fave of mine.
Anyway, boss man, when is the next one starting? And any ideas of what the theme may be? _________________ -Ryan

As soon as I can, I'll get the next one started. I've been busy starting uni, so I haven't got much time. As for themes, Tap suggested some pretty offbeat ones that might be fun to try (e.g. You can hear the beard - songs where you can tell the singer has a beard just by listening to them)

OK, quick update. I'm having trouble accessing the poll for some reason, which, obviously, makes it hard to clear for next week. I'll try and have it sorted soon.

maybe we could just do our voting in the thread? could be more fun/awkward if people have to justify their downvotes in a post, especially if we get into silly topics like the beard one ("THIS SOUNDED CLEAN SHAVEN TO ME, DOWNVOTE!!!")

Alright, we'll do the voting in the thread, then. Let's do the beard one this week.
Just post the songs here, and when all are submitted just cast votes here as well.
I have no idea what I'm going to pick this week... oh boy...

Nominations for "You Can Hear The Beard (Music By People Who Audibly Have Beards)" begin here:
My nominations are

Keith Fullerton Whitman - Variations For Oud & Synthesizer (Side B)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jBB_09_K-A
So yeah it's a weird beard but it's a beard. The whole erudite vibe with the oud and the tasteful serge modular synthesizer totally says beard to me.
Pharoah Sanders - Kazuko (Live in An Abandoned Tunnel)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7EGQzn8e1k
As the video begins, Sanders is shrouded in darkness. But astute listeners already know and are unsurprised to find that when he walks into the light, of course, he has a beard.
