Bi Cinnete Bakar by Lalalar
This is a fun new band, keep an eye out for them.
From my chart
Quote: | The mix of Turkish rock, folk, psychedelia and doomer dance music is perhaps not that unique for the current Turkish scene, but certainly interesting. And they're seriously one of the best live bands I've seen. If they're near you buy a 10 euros/dollars ticket, the live experience is worth double that at least. Altin Gun but better. |

New black midi is predictably unpredictable and their best album yet, perhaps. It's a more consistent, frantic and refined Cavalcade. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

For my power metal friends, this is one of the strongest power metal albums I've heard in a long time - give it a listen _________________ 2023 Chart

Violin / composers of the Iranian Diaspora — quite sharp, haunting, bit brutal, smidge of pain, the works have this bit of textural grit—

I can't define this better than the Bandcamp description, so
"[Afghan] maximalist minimalism" / "Tape-saturated and over-amplified Afghan rubab, armonia, and ghichak meet pounding multi-layered rhythms that at times hint at 1970s-1980s industrial music or the heady throb of German krautrock groups like Faust or Amon Düül."
It's a pounding wall. Or somebody pounding a wall. One of those two.

New Black Midi's pretty awesome too. Especially that A-side. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Seconded, this is great.
Been struggling to keep up with new releases, but shout outs go to Rico Nasty (first time she’s truly clicked for me), Sons of Arrakis (hazy stoner riffage, done exceptionally well, even if the Dune worship is played out), Babytron (wordy Detroit shit), Quelle Chris, Drake, Stingray 313 (angry, minimal electro), Burna Boy. _________________ 2021 in full effect.
