When I listened to it when it came out I thought it was damned boring and uninteresting, maybe it's time for a revisit since it's so highly esteemed here as well...

Dance Yourself Clean is a great track, second only to All My Friends. Overall, though, the album doesn't hold together as well as Sound of Silver.

Thos is pretty excellent. I like it better than SoS. Anyway, yeah when the heavy beat comes in on "Dance Yourself Clean" I just lose it. It's amazing and masterfully produced. "I Can Change" is also pretty fantastic. I also really like "Drunk Girls".

"All I Want" is Murphy's best song. This record is terribly ruined by the very poor "Drunk Girls" though. Sound of Silver is better.

Wildly inconsistent. Drunk Girls and Pow Pow are abysmal. The other songs have potential, but they all overstay their welcome. They don't all need to go on for seven minutes.

Fuck this hate for "Drunk Girls". That song is excellent and funny and a nice throw back to White Light White Heat by the Velvets.

That said, yeah Pow Pow annoys me.
