If it's not my favorite chart on the site, it's in the top three for sure.

Just looked over the chart again and realized that many of my favorites from my music history lists are on here... Ornette, Roach, Chelsea Girl, Pithecanthropus Erectus, Fun House, Dolphy, among others. I think our jazz tastes align a bit more than our pop tastes, but I enjoyed pretty much everything I heard on here. Also, I should revisit Coltrane's Crescent, since I don't remember it jumping out at me the first time.
Anyway, A+. Just like lethal, Norman is a true pillar of the community here and deserves all the respect he gets. I think it's great that they're both getting featured at around the same time, cause it's interesting to compare the lists.
BTW, all BEA members who haven't should make it a point to check out Norman's jazz recs, as there is far too little jazz love on the forums and there is some real quality shit here.

#10 or more nationalities, what established hegemony are you rebelling against?
But seriously, it feels like yesterday (well two years ago) that I first saw this, back when BEA was personally still an abstract feel, and it's never been less than divine. I don't know how Will Oldham in the top 10 could possibly dissapoint

The alpha diverse chart to start all diverse charts. Users have taken cues and recs from his charts and may not even know it. That's what makes them so memorable and fantastic. _________________

Well one of my top 10 album ever (and certainly top 5 after the next update) is taken from this, so it's pretty stellar obviously. Essential chart and user for the site.
That said, I genuinely wonder if there's not a bug in the chart of the day feature... Like, since I am here, nezzle's and Norman's overalls have been elected two or three times each, along with Naples', Applerill's, Hayden's, and most of the "classic" users, whereas I don't remember seeing Frogger's, Walrus', Cymro's, Goodsir's, etc. Technically the probability is the same, isn't it? Ah, maybe just a feeling, I don't know.

It's gorgeous for sure. I've taken a lot of cues from Norman on music recs, not necessarily directly from his chart bit from other places. I feel he is a vital and excellent member of the community.
2 Beach Boys in top 3 really makes it clear what Norman's fave is and I've yet to give The Smile Sessions or even
smile a listen. I shall soon.

haha
but seriously folks... i agree with what everyone has said.
I wish my taste in music was this refined. I could spend a month on a smack bender just cruising through Bates' list.
I too have never listened to the Smile Sessions. I think I must today
