Not bad at all. Dig the energy of the album and the Riot Grrrl nature of it. Can't say it's memorable, however.

Honestly, outside Violet (which is a really good track) this album kinda just floats through your ears, it doesn't stick out.

I like the anger and melodicism. But the sound is overproduced and Love's vocals can become quite annoying- she sounds like she's provoking vulgarity [ex: "Pee girl"] for the heck of it (the lyrics on her debut,"Pretty on the Inside," feel much more genuine)

The opening two numbers, "Violet" and "Miss World", are so good you think you will hear an absolute classic. Have zero idea what people hear in "Doll Parts"

One of the great rock albums of the nineties. Live through this, the follow up to debut, pretty on the inside, is a brilliant sneering rock classic. Courtney Love is on top form throughout, her voice is excellent, a totally underrated singer, who deserves a little more credit. There are some fantastic songs here in, miss world, doll parts, and, credit in the straight world. Just as good as, nevermind, in my humble opinion. Excellent.

I know this is only my opinion, but I kept thinking:

If I had no idea who Courtney Love was, I'd say the vocal style during the screams was totally ripping off Kurt Cobain.

Interesting, but pretty average.

To be in the right place in the right time. This is the story of this album, and the band as well. Well known as Kurt Cobain's wife, Courtney Love, his band, and maybe Kurt made a solid album in the middle of grunge era.
