Best alternative rock britpop album of the year
Best debut album of the year
Best UK album of the year
"I hate the way that you are so sarcastic
And you're not very bright
You think that everything you've done's fantastic
Your music's shite it keeps me up all night"
Who cares what they became (see self fulfilling prophecy lyrics above) this debut album was awesome at the time. Great guitars (especially Columbia) and singalong songs make this a nostalgic trip I still enjoy every time.

Best singer/songwriter alternative rock album of the year
"I ain't gonna work for no soul sucking jerk"
I loved this album when it came out. I bought it based on the strength of loser alone, and loved the weirdness and variety. Still my favourite Beck album to this day.
10/10 tracks: Loser, and Beercan. Other favourites are Pay No Mind (Snoozer), and Nitemare Hippy Girl [First added to this chart: 07/23/2017]
