As you might discern from the title, Emily Remler like any great jazz guitarist, had a good chunk of Wes Montgomery in her influence. But this is no tribute album; while she studied and was influenced by Montgomery, she has her own musical voice which comes through in her soul, augmented by her brilliant technique. This is a fretboard wizard with real heart.
