This album could have been a huge seller. It somehow managed to elude mainstream rock radio. It sounds half-punk, half mainstream rock. The track "Cailin" was included in the Devon Sawa/Jessica Alba movie "Idle Hands" (the makeout scene towards the end) and has remained a fan favorite for many years. Unfortunately, "Cailin" is a poor example of their signature sound. Although my favorite Unwritten Law songs are all B-Sides, this album contains many solid examples of what they were once capable of- i.e. "California Sky", "Lonesome", "Coffin Text", "Underground" etc. Drummer Wade Youman (one of my all time favorite drummers) never sounded better. Too bad they dumped him.
