Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

This is the top 100 of all the albums I have rated as a part of my music rating project which began in January of 2025. This does not fully reflect my personal favorite albums of all time yet, as it only includes albums I have officially rated so far. As of June of 2026 I have rated over 400 albums as part of this project. These ratings are not scientific or objective by any means, but are simply a measure of how much I personally enjoy them. Think of it as a snapshot of how much I enjoyed each album at the time I rated it. Each album is a weighted average of individual song ratings using a rating scale based on BEA's 20 point rating scale by 5s.
I have made sure that my top 10-15 do include some of my favorite albums of all time, but beyond that it is a mish mash of what I have rated so far. I am slowly going through my iTunes discography, which houses most of the albums I hold dearest, while also trying to keep pushing to discover new favorites both old and new. Currently, over half of those ratings have come from this decade and so this list will reflect that for the time being. This list will continue to evolve over time as I rate more music and I plan to slowly annotate the list over time as well.
Ties in score are broken by individual song scores in the respective albums.

I like that you're approaching this scientifically, but it really *should* be a list of your favorite albums, or at least the ones you think are the most impressive, most impactful, or most well-made. That's what the rest of us want to see, at least... Still, you've introduced me to some stuff I'd never heard of before, so kudos for that! (Edited)
