Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. A sound of my youth in that they were an ever-present in Australian alt rock circles for the best part of a decade. High energy and rebellious but with a unique take on the punk aesthetic. This is their most recognised able that channelled the energy of Gen X Aussies perfectly.
Cracking rockabilly punk, punk/pop. Some top class tunes on this. Tails off at the very back end. Better than it's given credit for.
Love the sound! Only thing is, most songs have the same structure and the album is too long.

I guess in Australia they do a different kind of punk rock music.

The debut album of Australia's modern rock legends. 'The Living End' combines the raw energy of punk rock with head-spinning rockabilly swing and takes the term "power trio" to a new level. Perfect at any volume and under whatever circumstance. All killer and no filler - it is an instant classic.
