1979-CBS ASSOCIATED
Produced By JEFF LYNNE
1. Evil Woman
2. Livin' Thing
3. Can't Get It Out Of My Head
4. Showdown
5. Turn To Stone
6. Rockaria!
7. Sweet Talkin' Woman
8. Telephone Line
9. Ma-Ma-Ma- Belle
10. Strange Magic
11. Mr. Blue Sky
Between 1975 and 1981, ELO had 17 top 40 hits. Of all the ELO collections out there, even though it's pretty incomplete, this is the best one you'll find. Why? Because it ends at the Out Of The Blue album, which means that it doesn't include the horrible 1980 "Don't Bring Me Down", or any of their lesser material from that period on. It does collect the biggest hits, but it also misses out on tracks like "So Fine", "Do Ya", "Boy Blue", and their first single "10538 Overture", as well as their longer gems like "Roll Over Beethoven" and "Kuiama".
ELO is a tough band to collect, as many of their albums are loaded with filler, and their collections are either predictably hit heavy or way to expansive. This is probably the best place to start, as it has all the major hits from their best period and won't break you at the bank. [First added to this chart: 10/29/2025]

1985-RHINO
Produced By BILL INGLOT
1. Bye Bye Love
2. I Wonder If I Care As Much
3. Wake Up Little Susie
4. This Little Girl Of Mine
5. Brand New Heartache
6. Hey Doll Baby
7. All I Have To Do Is Dream
8. Claudette
9. Bird Dog
10. Devoted To You
11. Problems
12. Love Of My Life
13. I'm Here To Get My Baby Out Of Jail
14. Take A Message To Mary
15. Poor Jenny
16. ('Til) I Kissed You
17. Let It Be Me
18. Since You Broke My Heart
19. Like Strangers
20. When Will I Be Loved
Before The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and any number of groups with great harmonies, there were The Everly Brothers. If great vocals are your thing, then this should be a gold mine for you. Between 1957 and 1960, Phil and Don released gem after gem, and the ones collected here are all excellent. Not a single second rate track on the disc. These guys may be almost forgotten, but this music should be listened to. Classic stuff all the way.
After the period covered on this disc, they went on to more success in the 60's with Warner Brothers. They broke up in 1973 and got back together in 1983. Phil Everly died in 2014. [First added to this chart: 11/02/2025]
