Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.3/100, a mean average of 67.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.2.

I tend to find Eurythmics albums sound dated in places but not this. Their best album back in the 80's and still sounds great now

I own three Eurythmics LP's, this one, Sweet Dreams and Touch, and of the three this is the best. OK it's not their more punchy synthpop, or their more mainstream stuff, but as an album it's more consistent. Bit 'tongue in cheek' in places it seems to me, not taking themselves too seriously, and not a poor track on here.

Not my cup of Tea this one, other than the Hit single the rest doesn't do a lot for me sorry.

An underrated album from a seminal 80's group. I could however never hear "I Need A Man" again.

By this point, they've lost steam. Still good, but not as gripping as their earlier work.
