A solid synthpop album with a few standout tracks.
passable pop songs with the blockbuster international hit. quite a bit of prog-rock here

I believe this was their best album with Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) one of the greatest songs ever written. Love is A Stranger, I've Got An Angel, Jennifer and This is the House are also great tracks. The group was at the cutting edge with their synth sound, lyrics and Annie's powerful voice.
There's more to this than just the singles people recognise. Good synth album before the group went all mainstream. I like this more simple sound, it suits Annie's voice. Another purchase on vinyl for next to nothing 2nd hand.

Amazing singles... not quite a total album. #2
Nice songs, nice voice.
My preference goes to "love is a stranger" & "sweet dreams".
The best track: Sweet Dreams
This record is when Eurythmics began straddling the line between experimentation and commerciality, and they did it very well for a while. The title track is ethereal and wonderful, and "The Walk" and "I Could Give You (A Mirror)" are standouts as well.
Solid record, couple great songs.
