Maybe it's not essential. Personal bias because for a long time I only had this and Bitches Brew on CD and there wasn't online to check stuff out. So I played them both to death. And I loved both albums for different reasons. And I still do. Also I'm definitely NOT a Jazz expert.
Tracks 2 and 4 feel especially strong. Great chemistry and great jazz. 9.5/10!

I can tell this is with "in a silent way" my favourite album for studying
Well, the first (and my favorite) great quintet. Coltrane like hard learner of freedom in harmonies. Chambers, Garland and Joe Jones, the best rhythm section of history of jazz. Davis lyrical, masterful. What can I say?
