When they first came out hot on the heels of Run DMC they sounded fine, taking more than an influence from the former. 5 years after Run DMC's debut that group updated to fit in with 88's finest, whereas the Fat Boys were still rapping like Run and DMC were in 83, with added dreadful pop production and all round poor tracks, relying solely on the pop covers hitting the charts
