This is the highest rated Graham Bond album on the site? That's hard to understand; Solid Bond is obviously MUCH better. Strokes/folks, I guess.

But the one you need to hear is one that is not listed on this site: We Put Our Magick On You. It's kind of Part 2 of this album--that's how Harry Shapiro's biography of Graham Bond lists it, as Holy Magick II. But it has much better musicians, including the terrific Nigerian percussionist Gasper Lawal adding in some cool rhythms, and Steve Gregory, the reed player from Ginger Baker's Air Force. Also, it's better recorded, and on the occultism/music scale, it moves more towards music, or should I say musick. This one is more of a ritual performance on side one, the follow-up album flat-out rocks. If you like this one, or even if you don't but you do like some Graham Bond, you need to check out We Put Our Magick On You; it's an actual great Graham Bond album.
