Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 18% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.1/100, a mean average of 73.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.5.

Transangelic Exodus is easily one of the best albums of the year.
Furman exploits the anthemic style and characteristics of classic American music (think the likes of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A.") through an unapologetic queer lens. It's a bold, abrasive and beautiful masterpiece that questions what it truly means to be an American.
Great concept, fun sound.
Although arguably not as fun as the straightforward rock and roll of Day of the Dog, Transangelic Exodus is Ezra's most ambitious album to date. More often than not this ambition pays off, with the minimalist song arrangements frequently resulting in music at once both intriguing and compelling. Occasionally the experimentation falls flat, as happens on From a Beach House, which is arguably one of the weakest songs on the album and fails to ever really pick up and capture the listener's attention. However, there are still plenty of examples showcasing Ezra's exceptional songwriting ability. The baroque pop of Love You So Bad is a particular highlight, with the string section owing more than a touch to Eleanor Rigby, albeit with a more simplistic and upbeat tone. Other highlights include the Springsteen-esque Suck the Blood from My Wound and the stripped back and confessional Compulsive Liar.

This Ezra's 2nd solo release is kind of average , lyrically its interesting stuff as many times his sexuality and coming out are discussed but musically not interesting at all .
'Peel My Orange Every Morning' was the track I enjoyed most
