Not a Pavement fan, so this appealed less to me than it did to others, but I still found this enjoyable.

Catchy slacker rock, as usual. He's consistently good in terms of songwriting, and the performances on here are tighter than Pavement but still rougher than most bands. For Malkmus, that's still a good thing. It's Winter here in Melbourne, Australia, but I'm predicting this will be a cracking summer listen in a few months.
Corking record. Swerves between straight-up, Indie fare and proggy pop rock. Some really good tracks on here.

Ex-Pavement Malkmus has released an eclectic yet largely uninteresting 11 tracks here on 'Sparkle Hard'(with the exception of rocker "Shiggy" which goes ok)
