It was in 2014 that the eponymous album of the band Ibibio Sound Machine was released. After their second album, "Uyai" in 2017, they are back in force with "Doko Mien", a third album rhythmic, eclectic and seductive. "Doko Mien" means "Tell me" in Ibibio, the native language of the singer, the charismatic, Eno Williams. Ibibio Sound Machine skillfully mixes artistic styles and approaches and Eno Williams proudly shares the richness of its culture and roots. "Doko Mien" is a refreshing and organic project in its form. Whether one understands the words or not, one feels that the intention behind the song is benevolent. Maybe this album is less impressive and inspiring than their "Uyai", but...
